Tiesto is a Dutch DJ and record producer of electronic dane music. He one of the biggest and most well known names in the industry. He is best known for his work under the alias DJ Tiesto. On his latest productions he has dropped the "DJ" and is now know just as "Tiesto". In 1997, he founded the label Black Hole Recordings with Amy Bink, which is where he released Magik and In Search of Sunrise series. In 1998 he met producer Dennis Waakop Reijers. He has credited Reijers as producer, writer, composer, or arranger on many of his releases. Tiesto ranked in the #1 poll position three consecutive times in the DJ Magazine Top 100 Popularity Poll from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, after releasing his second studio album Just Be, which he preformed live at the Summer Olympics, he became the first DJ to play live on stage at an Olympics. In April 2007 Tiesto launched both his radio show Tiesto's Club Life on Radio 538 in the Netherlands and released his third studio album Elements of Life. The album reached #1 on the Dutch album chart as well as on "Billboard Top Electronic Albums" in the U.S. and received a Grammy Award nomination in 2008. Tiesto released his fourth studio album Kaleidoscope in October 2009. In April 2011 he released his compilation mix Club Life: Volume One Las Vegas. In 2012, Tiesto reached the #3 poll position in the DJ Magazine Top 100 Popularity Poll. His style is manly House, Electro House, and Progressive House.
